Propagating the dissemination of the ORIGINAL digital learning – playing String Games! – is Fred’s passion. While for a time he used “digital storytelling evangelist” as one of his taglines, he had the epiphany that the misuse of technology for testing and scripted lessons meant he had to stop advocating for technology as playing a lead or even significant role. He became a Teaching Artist, developing a curriculum to accompany string art, suitable for any grade level and any curricular focus.

Combining movement, mathematics, and storytelling allows for connections in a myriad of directions.

For everyone in a group to have the chance to be a storyteller, everyone also needs to learn how to be a good audience: good listeners, who have patience and know how to give appreciations with kindness.
